Strike up the band, everyone’s favorite bargain is here again! Claiborne & Churchill’s own proprietary red table wine, Straw Bale Red, made and priced for everyday quaffing, and sporting a charming little label! Who could ask for more?
In assembling our Straw Bale Red from various lots of red wines in our cellar, we aim to create a harmonious and pleasant wine that is versatile and affordable. Of course, every year we have a different assortment of red varietals to assemble, so each Straw Bale Red has its own special character. For this one, with its bright fruit and smooth tannins, we were able to blend from barrels of our Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, and Tempranillo, as well as Pinot Noir.
To put it another way: we don’t guarantee that every year’s Straw Bale Red will taste alike, but we do guarantee that it will taste good! |
