2016 Twin Creeks Estate Pinot Noir

*91 Points - Wine Enthusiast

Our 2016 Twin Creeks Estate Pinot Noir offers a true expression of this estate vineyard located in the heart of the Edna Valley. The heavy clay soils and cool coastal climate of this vineyard combine to produce a well-structured, multi-layered and expressive wine. The 2016 growing season gave us everything we’ve come to expect from our coastal climate; optimal skin-to-juice ratio, balanced sugars and acids, and consistent fruit quality.
This Pinot Noir opens with aromas of dark red fruit and a comforting earthiness, followed by hints of oak and cinnamon. Delicate flavors of ripe black cherry and clove lead to soft, mouth-filling tannins and a long, lingering finish. Over the years, we’ve found this wine really shines with a food pairing experience. We recommend trying it with your Roasted Thanksgiving Turkey and Fall Vegetables, or even with something exotic like Duck Confit.
