Kathy’s Choice in Fine Wines

June 26, 2015

Kathy Marcks Hardesty

My fine wine choices include Pinot Noirs, Rose, and Chardonnay from some of our great Central Coast wineries!

These are some of the wines we’ve been enjoying lately. I always recommend the ones we would buy more of to fill our wine cellar. But believe me, there are plenty of wines I taste that I can’t recommend (I am torn on whether or not to occasionally list those I don’t like but I find it difficult to hurt little mom and pop businesses). These, on the other hand, are all available now but like all great wineries they are usually sold in such limited amounts, they won’t last long!

Claiborne & Churchill 2014 Rose of Pinot Noir Cuvee Elizabeth

Anyone who knows the Hardestys knows how much Dan and I love Rose, especially those made from Pinot Noir like this one. This vibrant pink wine is flavorful and perfectly balanced, perfect for sipping on the porch, and ideal at the table. Serve this with anything that doesn’t require a big bold red, from bouillabaisse to iced shellfish platters, or poultry to fish tacos, and it will delight you! With only 200 cases made, this fine Rose will sell out fast! Available for the retail price of$24, it’s stil available at the tasting room.
