Wines:

We've just released three new wines.

    2007 Dry Muscat.   This unusual wine offers hints of orange blossoms, lemon-lime, grapefruit and citron                 in the nose, but on the palate it is crisp, tart, dry and refreshing.

    2006 Cabernet Sauvignon.  This is an unusually light and lovely Cabernet, with a moderate alcohol level and             soft tannins.  Our 2006 Cabernet delivers charming black-cherry fruit and a smooth texture.

    2007 "Nektar" Orange Muscat "Ice Wine".  A sweet (but not cloying) dessert wine.  The aromas and            flavors suggest ripe melon and honey.  And for the record, there was a good deal of botrytis in the            grapes for this wine.

Spring is here, and we are busy in the Cellar, preparing the 2007 wines for bottling. We will be blending and bottling not only the major wines like Riesling and Gewurztraminer, but also unique cuvées like our Proprietors' Blend.

May 1st  Barrels in the Plaza - Join the SLO Vintners at Mission Plaza in downtown SLO to celebrate an evening of locally grown and              locally made food and wine.

May 2nd  Winemaker Dinner: "Double Your Pleasure, Double Your Fun."  Join two great wineries (Claiborne & Churchill and               Tolosa) for twice the fun at this year's Roll Out the Barrels Winemaker Dinner.

May 3-4th  Open House at C&C: A Passport to Wine Country.  Experience a day in the Caribbean islands with Claiborne &                     Churchill.  Sample and savor the delights of Caribbean cuisine paired with our handcrafted wines.  Enjoy the authentic                 sounds of reggae as you sample barrel tastings of our new wines.  Celebrate “Roll Out the Barrels” with great WINE,                 great food, and great company.  (Food and music Saturday only.  Complimentary tasting for club members and passport                 holders on Sunday.)

May 31st  Claiborne & Churchill's annual "Dinner in the Winery."  Open to members of our wine club and their guests.

June 21st  First Annual Blending Seminar and Wine Party at Claiborne & Churchill.  Participate in the blending of our 25th                 Anniversary Red Wine!  (details to follow).

June 29th  "25th Anniversary Open House" 

August 2nd  "Summer Sunset Barbecue," our wine club's outdoor gourmet lawn party.

October 25th  "Morro Bay Harbor Cruise," with Claiborne & Churchill Wines.
