2005 Chardonnay

Edna Valley AVA

 Our 2005 Chardonnay is a blend of two vineyards in the Edna Valley: Cathy MacGregor's Price Canyon Vineyard and Wolff Wineyards.  We think these two batches of grapes are happy to join hands.  This vintage brings forward aromas of fresh tropical fruit with the modest notes of vanilla and toast from the French oak Barrels. 

We would like to dedicate our2005 vintage to the memory of Andy MacGregor.  He was one of the viticulture pioneers of our valley.

100% MacGregor Vineyard and Wolff Vineyard, Edna Valley AVA

100% barrel fermented in 40% new French Oak barrels

70% malo-lactic fermentation.  Aged sur-lies, with battonage for the first 6 months
